Team Building with Halloween

This past week, many of us celebrated Halloween; some with our families or through celebrations at the office.  Some of these traditional activities each year include pumpkin carving, fall festivals, haunted houses, and of course, costume parties and trick-or-treating.  This year, we decided to bring some of these exciting traditions to work by hosting a pot-luck lunch and costume party as a team building event.

Teamwork, Collaboration, and Partnership are all primary components of our business at Morton Consulting.  In fact, Teamwork and Partnership are two of our core values which we consider fundamental beliefs and guiding principles that influence everything we do to support our customers.  Team Building is a critical component to every business and should be looked upon as an opportunity to strengthen each individual and the team collectively.  It can be serious when goal setting or solving a problem is the overall agenda; however, just having fun is another great practice of building successful teams that deliver great results.  Everyone knows the old saying for the acronym T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More.  It may sound silly, but it can become a powerful concept when practiced in your business daily.

As this Halloween fell on a Friday, we decided to invite some of our neighbors to celebrate.  Our team was joined by RTS Labs and The Bergman Groupto take part in the holiday by wearing costumes, enjoying delicious food and most importantly, growing relationships.  On top of all of the great company, we were also joined by some unique guests including Captain Kirk, a Storm Trooper, Batman, Mary Poppins, and a Giant Carrot, all of which resulted in a memorable Halloween at Morton Consulting.
