Morton Consulting is currently seeking candidates for three Business Analyst positions with an Information technology/Healthcare/Human Services business. Candidate has the option to work remotely from home with occasional travel to corporate office in sunny Sarasota, FL.
Requirements:
Under minimal supervision, performs and documents complex analyses of business goals, objectives, needs and existing applications and maps customer/market problem(s) to the market requirements. Taking an engineering approach, defines the product requirements. Works with the product team to ensure deliverables meet business needs. Owns coordinating the team decisions on “how” the requirements are completed and confirms they match the market requirements. Helps establish internal business needs including employee training. Strives to become the subject matter expert on the active issues insuring accurate communications with engineering, executive team, and client / prospective clients.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate high-level information into details, abstract up and conduct needs analysis.
Determine requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis with end-users.
Analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following as needed: requirements documents, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, etc.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of Product Management.
Interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Consult with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Liaise between the Product Management and technology teams.
Designs and Documents business processes and makes recommendations in order to improve and support product enhancements. i.e. patient care workflow, administrative workflow, patient billing and Claims ….) 60% of the time
Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner. 20% of the time.
Reviews industry trends or mandates, produces documentation on the impact to existing systems, and provides detailed documentation for engineers. 10% of the time
Directs and/or assists in the preparation of special studies, reports, analyses and recommendations in areas of billing or management needs. 10% of the time.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive experience
Location: remote or local Sarasota office
Education: BS/ BA preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 5 – 8 years of related healthcare domain experience
Preferred: 5+ years Financial, Clinical, Technology / EHR Practice Mgmt solutions and business analysis or product management experience.
Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Project, Project Server, Visio, Word and TFS. Time management skills and ability to work independently and get results. Ability to adapt to and handle change as well as have the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Solid interpersonal skills with both customers and co-workers. Must be detail oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
