Morton Consulting is in the process of seeking qualified candidates in consideration for a Data Engineering opening available with a customer in Richmond, Virginia.

Primary responsibility will be delivering fully automated SSIS data integration and ETL processes in SQL Server 2005/2008 and data analysis support across a variety of technologies.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with data warehouse architecture, SSIS and data transformation services and have a strong desire to work with data conversion, staging and transformation issues.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience preferred in data integration, warehousing or comparable environment
• Demonstrate knowledge of SQL, SSIS, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
• Proven experience in handling data analysis tasks and ad-hoc research
• Familiarity with star schema architectures and ETL tasks
• Ability to work off-hours to accommodate client processing tasks
• Must be detail oriented and able to create own work plans to execute larger analysis and integration requests
• Microsoft Analysis Services experience preferred
• Knowledge of MDX preferred
