Morton Consulting is in the process of considering candidates for an opportunity that we have available in Chester, Virginia as a Senior Network Operations Engineer – Voice. This is a full time position where the resource will be responsible for monitoring and managing clients’ Infrastructure, Unified Communications Applications and Security environments from our 24×7 operations center.

Requirements:

  • Provide training and mentorship to Operations staff
  • Perform configuration changes and updates to networks to systems to enhance the Quality of Service (QoS) for our customer’s voice systems
  • Provide level II and III troubleshooting incidents to resolution and identify root cause
  • Work hands-on with various technologies and provide thought leadership regarding Voice Over IP (VoIP) technologies
  • Configure QoS and infrastructure monitoring tools to improve voice services for our internal systems and for our customers
  • Integrate network and voice quality monitoring tools into a service delivery platform that improves the efficiency of our operations and improves service delivery for our customers
  • Support new customer implementations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CCNP or equivalent networking skills
  • CCIE Security equivalent voice skills
  • Scripting experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Experience with Cisco voice solutions (CUCM, Unity, UCCX, CER), routers and switches a must
  • Experience with security technologies a plus
