Morton Consulting is in the process of considering candidates for an opportunity that we have available in Chester, Virginia as a Senior Network Operations Engineer – Voice. This is a full time position where the resource will be responsible for monitoring and managing clients’ Infrastructure, Unified Communications Applications and Security environments from our 24×7 operations center.
Requirements:
- Provide training and mentorship to Operations staff
- Perform configuration changes and updates to networks to systems to enhance the Quality of Service (QoS) for our customer’s voice systems
- Provide level II and III troubleshooting incidents to resolution and identify root cause
- Work hands-on with various technologies and provide thought leadership regarding Voice Over IP (VoIP) technologies
- Configure QoS and infrastructure monitoring tools to improve voice services for our internal systems and for our customers
- Integrate network and voice quality monitoring tools into a service delivery platform that improves the efficiency of our operations and improves service delivery for our customers
- Support new customer implementations as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CCNP or equivalent networking skills
- CCIE Security equivalent voice skills
- Scripting experience preferred
- Strong problem solving
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-driven and highly motivated
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Experience with Cisco voice solutions (CUCM, Unity, UCCX, CER), routers and switches a must
- Experience with security technologies a plus
