Morton Consulting is in the process of reviewing candidates for a SharePoint Developer in Arlington, Va. This individual will be involved in the requirements gathering, planning, development, and testing of these environments. Individuals assigned to this position require limited guidance in performing the more difficult and complex assignments related to this development. Development will adhere to best-practice designs and will include integration of portfolio company technology into our company portal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Software Development – Work with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions. Involved in all phases of lifecycle development, including requirements gathering, design, development, documentation, and maintenance.
- Legacy Database Ownership – Maintain and perform upgrades on our existing database and database applications.
- Analyzes and resolves complex program support deficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Incumbents must possess a BS degree in computer science, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
- Significant amount of SharePoint development experience to include SharePoint 2010.
- Strong web development skills with experience with Ruby on Rails, CSS, Java script, XML, HTML, and Java.
- Extensive knowledge with Portal development (Portlets).
- Knowledge of J2EE application servers (Tomcat, Liferay, JBOSS).
- Experience with SQL and Oracle.
