Morton Consulting is in the process of reviewing resumes in consideration for hiring a Software Test Analyst to support a customer in testing multi-tiered applications, design and defect reviews, and setting up test environments while working with cross-functional teams to understand and reproduce customer issues and devise approaches to resolve problems using a variety of testing approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Performs test planning activities, including participation in requirements development, test strategy development and creation of test scenarios, procedures and status reports
- Executes functional and new feature test cases for work units, system component integration, consistent UI and back-end data access tests
- Develops and executes data queries, and analyzes back-end data and system processes
- Provides input into the development of quality metrics
- Mentors other QA Engineers (when appropriate) on system development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA Methodologies
- Develops regression automated test activities, including automation test strategies, automated test libraries and automated test suites
- Follows automated script coding standards and participates in automation code reviews
- Makes recommendations for improvement of overall automation process
- Reports defects found and verifies fixes implemented as a result.
- Works with development team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
- Sets up and helps to maintain QA test lab, including multi-machine product configurations
- Work directly with SME through user acceptance testing
Qualifications:
- Five years of hands on Software Quality Assurance experience testing web-based applications
- Experience in the preparation of Requirements Traceability Matrixes
- Extensive experience in the conducting of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience writing test plans and test scripts
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Experience testing infrastructure related initiatives
- Experience with automation tools, preferably Visual Studio or Quick Test Pro (QTP)
- Experience writing SQL/Oracle queries
