Morton Consulting is in the process of considering candidates for an opportunity that we have available in Reston, Virginia as a Solution Architect – NAC Security Engineer. This is a full time position where the resource will be responsible for monitoring and managing clients’ Infrastructure, Unified Communications Applications and Security environments from our 24×7 operations center.
Requirements:
- Provide training and mentorship to Operations staff
- Perform configuration changes and updates to networks to address vulnerabilities and enhance the reliability of networks
- Provide level II and III troubleshooting incidents to resolution and identify root cause
- Work hands-on with various technologies and provide thought leadership regarding trends in security management
- Configure SEIM and infrastructure monitoring tools to improve performance, reliability, and functionality for our internal systems and for our customers
- Integrate network and security tools into a service delivery platform that improves the efficiency of our operations and improves service delivery for our customers
- Assess the security posture of customer networks as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CCNP or equivalent networking skills
- CCIE Security equivalent security skills
- Scripting experience preferred
- Strong problem solving
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-driven and highly motivated
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Experience with Cisco security solutions (ASA, Pix, NAC, IPS/IDS), routers and switches
- Experience with penetration testing and network security best practices
