After 10 years serving the tech industry, we’re still having fun

We’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary in the next few months and as we kick off the celebration I have a few thoughts I’d like to share. First, a huge thank you to the companies who have trusted us to help them find the right person for their open positions again and again.

That our clients have come back to us repeatedly over the years and referred us to other companies tells us that we have been finding the right person for the right place.

Making sure the match is nearly perfect

A bad hire is a drag on productivity, demoralizing and expensive. In a hiring climate where competition is fierce for talent, it can be tough to resist the temptation to send someone whose credentials are almost what you need. As a boutique firm, we are able to resist that temptation and send the best candidate, one we’re confident can do the job well and fit in with the rest of your team.

You, our customers, definitely like the way it works out. “In his first week I presented a problem and a concept for solution and told him to prove or disprove the concept. He turned it around in about 1 week and the solution became an enterprise approach for J2EE applications. A really nice win for our team,” one Glen Allen, VA customer told us recently.

Another customer simply said, “Thank Goodness you are here.”

On the other side of that equation

We never forget that the talented people we depend on, the contractors, the part-timers, the full-timers, the temp-to-hires, all are people. They want their talents to be used to the fullest extent, they want to learn and grow, and they want to work as part of a team on a project, for a company where they can be appreciated.

“I am having a blast here. I like it a lot. I am working on one of the core conversion projects for the merger and I am learning a ton of stuff about this industry plus my boss is a good guy and I like working with him,” said one .NET developer when we checked in with him to see how he was acclimating.

Our contractors have been coming back to us again and again as their gigs complete because they trust us to find the right place for them. They refer their friends and colleagues. Many of them have become friends.

Stay tuned…

I am looking forward to working with you for the next 10 years and beyond. By continuing to stick to our core principals of teamwork, results, integrity and partnership – working together to find the best results for everyone, and treating customer and contractor alike with fairness and honesty – we not only succeeded, we grew, even through the worst economic conditions in generations.

We know our clients share our values, which is why you call us. And for that, I thank you.
