Everyone at Morton Consulting knows when Alice Hickman walks into a room. Her energy and spark captivates employees while keeping them motivated and excited to be a part of the Morton Team.
Alice is the HR and Benefits Coordinator at Morton Consulting and has been with the company for five years. Alice had previously spent 11 years in sales before having children and taking time off of work. Once Alice was ready to get back into the workforce and began working at Morton Consulting, she had little experience in the HR field.
“I was lucky to have Mark as a leader since he was so hands on and inspiring,” Alice said. “His energy was contagious and I knew immediately that this was the right place for me.”
Through Alice’s five years at Morton, she hasn’t lost any of her excitement since the inception of the company.
“It’s a hard business but I feel like I can get our employees excited about this company because I am so excited about it and I see the vision that Mark and our team have,” Alice said. “I can say that everyday I am excited to come to work and take on something new.”
New employees are Alice’s passion as she loves meeting new people and introducing them to the Morton Consulting way of life and the strong ethical foundation the company has been built upon.
“New employees are our ambassadors. They represent what we stand for and are the people who are outreaching to our clients,” she said.
Alice’s biggest surprise in 5 years is the astonishing growth that the Morton Consulting firm has gone through. After 3 location changes and massive employee growth, she is proud of how far the company has gone. However, Alice believes that Morton will remain within in limits to meet customer/client expectations.
“Our vision is not to be the ‘Wal-Mart’ of consulting,” Alice said. “Even after 5 years we still aim to provide quality services…the vision has and will always be quality first.”
